AI TOOK
MY JOB.
You found me. It worked!
I’m Allison. My creative role was eliminated as AI started changing the work I did.
Months of applications. Almost no replies.
So I turned my job search into a real-world experiment. If online applications aren’t getting me seen, could a flyer on the street?
Why the flyers?
Because a flyer can’t be filtered out by an algorithm. A person has to see it.
With more people applying for every job and more of the hiring process becoming automated, I’m not convinced my resume is getting in front of real humans.
And when you’re trying to change careers, getting someone to see your transferable skills is hard enough.
So instead of sending another application into the void, I’m asking actual humans for help.
I’m putting up flyers every day until I get hired.
So, what am I looking for?
Getting clear on what's next is part of this search, and a big reason I'm talking to people.
The title matters less to me than finding work I’m good at. I want to keep learning, working with great people, and contributing to something I believe in.

I’ve spent 15 years helping brands connect with people. My background is creative, but the work has involved much more: shaping campaign ideas, supporting product launches, coordinating influencer partnerships, and bringing teams and vendors together to get things done.
I’ve helped relaunch a restaurant brand, supported store openings and community events, and created campaigns for products sold by major retailers. Across that work, I’ve learned how to understand an audience, build relationships, solve problems, and turn ideas into action.
Now I’m interested in partnerships, customer relationships, and helping a business grow by understanding what people need. I want to connect with people, spot opportunities, and help shape what comes next.

Connecting with people, asking thoughtful questions, and understanding what matters to them. I’m good at spotting opportunities, solving problems, and bringing people together to make things happen. I bring curiosity, creative thinking, and follow-through.

I’m looking for work where I can explore ideas, solve problems, and build relationships. A few areas where I could put my skills to work:
Consumer insights and innovation: understanding what people need, spotting patterns, and helping shape new products, services, or experiences.
Brand and marketing: developing ideas and messages that connect with an audience.
Partnerships and client relationships: building trust and finding opportunities to collaborate and grow.
Community and customer experience: understanding people’s experiences and finding ways to improve them.
I’m especially drawn to health and wellness, but I’m open to any company whose work I believe in.
Hire me.

Fair Questions
-
Yes. I was laid off and started this project after months of applying online with little response. This is my way of bringing the human connection back into my job search.
-
No. AI is here whether we like it or not, and resisting it isn’t going to help me.
It’s already changing how we work, how people get hired, and what employers are looking for. It’s also changed a lot of the work I used to do, so I know I have to adapt with it.
I’m actively learning how to use AI and thinking about where my skills can have the most value as work changes. A lot of the roles I’m interested in now require some level of AI experience, so I’m trying to build mine.
If there’s a tool, course, resource, or skill you think is worth learning, send it my way.

The first answer is, because people be crazy.
These flyers are out in the wild, so I’m being intentional about how much personal information I plaster all over the city. I’m also in the middle of a career transition, so my traditional resume doesn’t fully tell the story of where I’m headed next.
The second is, a resume is what I sent for months and got me nowhere. I'd rather start with a conversation human to human.
If you would like my resume, just ask. If you have a genuine opportunity or connection in mind, reach out. I’m happy to share more directly. -
Honestly? Being seen is scary. Putting myself out there like this is a huge step for me, and I’m still figuring out how to share it. If you’re good at filming, editing, or social media and want to help me tell this story, I’d love to hear from you.
